Miscellaneous skills in Silkroad online
Tuesday, January 31st, 2012The third book “Light” (a level 80 skill) is the next consecutive book of firefly. It’s a detection range of 15m. The second book detects wizard’s invisible skill & is called Vision Fire.
Light Grass walks Speeds up leveling, & lets you runaway or chase down an opponent. Phantom transports you a set distance instantly. It’s the same benefits as grass walk, & lets you be unpredictable in pvp, by suddenly changing direction & changing distance from opponent.
Fire combustion is used to see stealth rogues & invisible wizards. The fire combustion series has books. The first & third are in series with the second standing alone. The first book FireFly is used for the detection rogues stealth. At maxed level it’s a 10m range at level 7 detection.
Meaning one time you cast, the skill works similar to harmony therapy but you cannot see the circle. It doesn’t move with you. So this skill is useful but in case you are constantly moving, it loses its usefulness since you leave its vicinity.
To see the cloaked rogues & wizards you must have the same level of detection or higher to their level of stealth/invisibility to see them. So in case you get these, max them out or it’s valueless.
Fire shield allows user to become immune to most status effects when combined with jewelry with status reduce. Fire shield acts as a % if it says 50 than you need 50% reduce on jewelry to be immune. This means that you only need fire shield at a low level, since 7 & 8 degree jewelry can have a maximum of 20% reduce per accessory. This means 80% total reduce from accessories. You must have shield equipped to initiate buff, then can switch back to main weapon.
There is a possibility that this skill is “bugged”. Whether the way it functions is correct or a mistake Joymax has a bad habit of changing how skills work without warning. It is feasible that in the future when you try to switch weapons the buff will disappear. Another possibility is that it will cease acting like a % reduction & only minimize the status effects.
How to Increase Defense Skills In Silkroad Online
Tuesday, January 31st, 2012Fire protection buff increases your magic defense by 126 points. Light can increases parry ratio by 62 points totally. Ice is the king of defense. It can increase physical defense by a total of 140 points.
Fire Wall absorbs magic damage. While the wall is up you cannot run, yet you can assault if opponent is in range. The wall takes time to set up so without planning it is near useless. The wall prevents knockdown, stun, & knock-back. An int player can take down a wall with about two lion shouts. However a strength player cannot. If the wall has 5k hp & you get one nuked for 10k you won’t get any damage as the wall goes down. This is an optional skill that benefits characters with ranged assaults the most. Some people find this skill useful, others think about it useless.
For light, Concentration buff increases parry ratio by 31 points. Heavens force passive increases parry ratio by 31 points.
Snow Shield (mana shield) buff transfers up to 50% of damage received to your mp bar. In case you run out of MP you won’t be able to assault back making this skill not as useful to STR builds. Pure STR can have it at 20%. Int hybrid can have it at around 40-50%, & pure INT at 50%. This buff lasts two min with a one min chilled down before you can use it again.
For Ice, Frost Guard buff increases physical defense by 81 points. Chilled Armor passive increases physical defense by 59 points
Chilled Wave is a ranged assault that has 100% chance of slowing down non immune opponents. It does no damage & most people would think about it a optional / unnecessary skill.
Frost Nova has a 100% chance of slowing down non immune opponents & 50% chance of making them a block of ice. 1st & 3rd book you must select a target & it hits that target &
Brief Introduction to Nukes
Monday, January 30th, 2012Nukes a magic attack when used by INT builds will deal massive damage. For INT characters they are the strongest hitting skill in the game.
For Light, there are three nukes. All of them have the same effect/cast time, unlike fire. Both of the 2nd & 3rd book are progressions in strength of the nuke, like the books of imbue. Light nukes transfer up to ten meters to hit a total of three opponents. There is a 35% reduction in damage with each transfer. The damage range of light is larger than fire. Lion Shout Cast time is instant dealing small damage. It is useful finishing move.
For Fire, there are four different nukes. Is a Rapid casting nuke that does all right damage with no splash? Another is a more powerful nuke with penetration. Penetration means it will target mobs between you & your target as well as monsters behind you. The third is a Nuke with area damage surrounding the target. It is similar damage to book#2. At higher levels it will be more powerful. Flame wave bomb: mastery level 70-80, damage = 780-1300(263%). It is a continuation of book number one & has a short cast time with all right damage. 3rd fire nuke do much more damage than 2nd & 4th.
Ice nukes are weak, but they have a chance of status effect. 1st book Ice is a comparatively weak nuke with no splash. 2nd nuke considerably more damage than book one, but less than fire or light nukes. Has a pleasant damage radius with chance of inflicting status. A great nuke when you are getting mobbed. 3rd book ice appears to be a continuation of book one. It’s a level 70-80 skill, damage 166-250(250%) Status effect 20% freeze, 40% frostbite. When combining these nukes with ice imbue the chance of inflicting status effect is comparatively high.

Brief Introduction to Imbue
Monday, January 30th, 2012Imbue is a skill used by all Chinese characters to enhance their damage when using both physical and magical attacks. There are three kinds of imbues: Fire imbue, Light imbue, and Ice imbue
Among those imbues, Fire imbue is the Strongest imbue with a destroy over time burn status effect.
Light imbue is the 2nd strongest imbue with a parry ratio reduce to opponent. Lightning also splashes to monsters doing only slight destroy which will agro the mobs. Lightning imbue has more variation in destroy output. It can hit close to the destroy of fire, and as low as ice.
Ice imbue is the weakest imbue with two status effects, frost and freeze. Slows down opponents assault speed, the other cancels and stops the opponents’ attack/movement for a set amount of time.
When you assault a monster or player, your destroy output will vary. Their parry ratio tries to push the destroy you deal towards the lower finish of the range. The higher parry is, the more chances you take the least amount of destroy dealt, in lieu of the highest.
Plenty of people say fire imbue is much stronger, but few can tell you how much stronger.
It is simple to become immune to a status effect. If your opponent is not immune they can use pills which remove the effect instantly. Because of this I would not take status affect in to consideration when thinking of PVP, except possibly ice imbue. When fighting with a that is not immune to ice you will the shit out of them and waste their pills. In the event that they are out of pills it is game over you win.
While grinding ice imbues lets you save pots and for INT characters you could potentially grind on a higher level mob without dying. Lightning imbue agros mobs which may be ideal for STR characters, but can mean accidental deaths for INTs. Fire burns over time which helps kill giants faster and overall is the most powerful imbue.

Guide to the Chinese Force Tree
Sunday, January 29th, 2012You should decide what skills to get. Many people say fire pawns, and ice sucks. This guide will help you to find the best skills for you without going over the 300 mastery limit.
There are three Basic Types of Characters. First is Strength. It has high hp, low magic defense, high physical defense, emphasis on physical damage, low magic attack capability. Overall damage is low with an occasional critical which is roughly double normal damage. The second is Intelligence. Exact opposite of strength, it has high overall damage. Magic attacks cannot crit. The third is Hybrid. Anyone who is a mixture of int and str stat points give them characteristics of both character classes.
Always keep your specific build, and playing style in mind when looking at skills. What works best for someone else doesn’t mean it’s best for you.

Tips on Leveling Fast with a STR Character
Sunday, January 29th, 2012A STR build gets half its power from weapon skills and half from the imbue. This makes it difficult as a 1 gap is not sufficient to have enough skill points to level up two masteries. So it is a lot harder to level fast.
Fire imbue is necessary for a strength build to do a lot of damage. But you will also need lightning for the speed buffs.
Also you can use drug of wind until you are level 52, and create a 9 gap at that level. By this time, you should have farmed a lot of gold, and maybe you can buy a Sox glaive and farm pennons to get your necessary SP. STR builds have other advantages than fast leveling.

Fastest Way to Level in Silkroad OnlineⅡ
Friday, January 20th, 2012Whilst leveling, it is important to keep the 2 gap between mastery level and character level and keep pacheon and lightning at the same.
While leveling with the gaps, keep upgrading the anti-devil bow and the lightning imbue at every skill level. You ought to update your armor/garment/protector, and weapons at every degree. As soon as you are level 30, you get the lightning nuke and shouts, use the nuke + shout whatever you are. You can keep your bow for now. Make sure you get a spear at level 32. You need the most power together with your nukes.
We now change to a gap. As soon as you hit level 30, bring lightning up to level 30. Get the nuke. Now, one time you hit level 31, don’t level up lightning. But when you hit 32, bring lightning up to level 31. Then at level 33, bring lightning up to 32… So on and so forth. Keep a gap all the way from now on.
Now, grind all the way to level 72, only leveling lightning, all skills except phantom walk and the concentration series. Use a spear, right until the finish. One time at level 72, get skills to level 71. Now, they can start to generate your build. Obviously after some pwnage at PVP, as everyone will be 30 levels lower than you. Since you will be much the only person in Taklamakan, you go to whichever mobs you can handle, and start to generate a 9 gap. One time at level 80, you will have that 9 gap. Grind until you have skill points for your build.
As a pure INT, you will have low defense, so it is better to take sword/shield as your build with you. But obviously, a spear can also survive with the mana shield, but yet again, sword and shield is much better at surviving and tanks better with mana shield.
The fastest way to level is to kill the highest mob that you can kill with one nuke and one shout. Even if it is lower level that you.

Fastest Way to Level in Silkroad OnlineⅠ
Friday, January 20th, 2012The fastest way to level in Silkroad online is level with the pure INT. A pure INT is the fastest leveler. A pure INT does more damage, and after level 30 has a very powerful ranged magical attack called a “nuke”.
Start a brand spanking new character. Make sure you select the BOW as your weapon. Bow is the quickest leveling below level 30.
Start off grinding. Do not level any mastery. One time you hit level five, you can get your first skill and imbue. Imbue is a magic status for your weapon that infuses the weapon with the power of an element. All you need to know is it makes your assaults more powerful and last five seconds.
One time at level five, level up the masteries “Pacheon”, the bow mastery, and “Lightning”, for your imbue and speed skills. With this skills, grind up to level 7. One time at level 7, level up both pacheon and lightning to level five. This gives a gap of two. Now, continue to grind to level 8. You can buy a brand spanking new weapon. You certainly won’t have much money, assuming this is a brand spanking new server, so search stalls for a pleasant level 8 bow. Any will do, as long as it’s cheaper than from the NPC. Now you are level 8, whilst in town, buy plenty of MP and HP herbs, and run over to the Yeoha mobs out of the west gate of jangan and over the bridge.
You will be able to handle the decayed yeohas as they are pure phy attack so they need to be close to attack you and they walk very slowly. Try to avoid the normal Yeoha’s. Keep killing these mobs until level 13.

How to Aboid Being Banned For Using Ibot
Thursday, January 19th, 2012IBot, is a free to use Silkroad Online Bot. it beats pay-to-use bots hands down. Taking in to consideration that SBot no longer is accepting new accounts from anyone, this is a better alternative to botting, cost free.
There is a file in your Silkroad folder called SilkErrSender.exe, rename the file to something random or totally delete the file all together. This will stop Silkroad crashes and errors from being reported back to Joymax, do this no questions asked.
Buy silk and keep at least 1 silk left on your account, this shows that you spend money on a free to play game, and will most likely cause you to not get banned if someone sees you botting in game and decides to report you. They really have no proof, just assumptions. Buy silk, leave some on your account to play it safe.
Always keep your bot up to date. Check for updates after EVERY server inspection/update. If you keep your bot current, you are less likely to get banned.
Multiclient botting is asking to be banned and is more detectable than any single client bot, so if possible, stay away from multiclient botting. HardMod is okay to use if you want to plvl, or stall. Keep that up to date as well.

How to Run Silkroad on Mac
Thursday, January 19th, 2012To run Silkroad on a Mac, you need Windows installation disk (Windows 7 is preferred) and BootCamp.
First off, the Windows 7 package should come with 2 disks, a 32 bit and a 64 bit. You will be using the 64 bit disk.
Then go into the utilities folder and find BootCamp Assistant. Then you will have to create a partition (creating space for Windows). Now you should choose how much space you want to reserve for Windows but be careful, there is a possibility that you could delete some Mac files so backing up your files is a good idea. I did the 50-50 partition and it worked fine.
After you create the partition you have to insert the CD (64 bit). It will then take you through a process which is pretty self explanatory. You will come to a point where you have to select your partition and format it to continue. After that the installation process should be a breeze.
